The Great Zimbabwe Hotel is situated on the grounds of the Zimbabwean monument. This hotel was established in 1905 which makes it the oldest hotel in the area.

The Great Zimbabwe Hotel has 47 rooms, 2 are suites and 45 are standard rooms. Each room has a bathroom, overhead fans, heaters, satellite TV with 11 channels and movies. In the suites you are supplied with a mini bar. The furnishing is dark, heavy, varnished wood and gives a warm ambience. You can enjoy the amazing views of the valley as well as the mountains through large windows in your room. The rooms are large and they have comfortable beds with lovely mosquito nets.

There are two bars(the Cocktail Bar and the Pool Bar) and for dining restaurants were you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here they serve local and International fare. To settle the stomach you can go for a walk around the ruins. But if you are feeling energetic you can enjoy a game of tennis or go fishing at Lake Mtilikwi. For the not so energetic there is a lovely sparkling pool where you can relax in the sun or you can go for a scenic drive in and around the Masvingo area and visit the Kyle Recreational Park.

The Great Zimbabwe Hotel offers conference and function facilities with all the equipment you will need, airport transfers, safety deposit boxes, foreign exchange facilities, curio shop, open secure complimentary parking and carwash, same day laundry service, a clinic, baby sitters and packed lunches. The setting is immaculate with the lanky vervet monkeys visiting you and the resident peacock that knows how to make an entrance.
