Situated in Victoria Falls is the gorgeous suburban retreat, Gerties Lodge. Visitors to the falls can relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings of Gerties Lodge, while being served by the friendly and efficient staff. It is the ultimate getaway where true African hospitality can be experienced.

Safari tours are offered to their guests. Land rovers are used to transport you on the scenic and well guided tours. A maximum of 8 people per group are allowed on the safari, at a time. Guests are very involved in all activities on the safari. They participate in the setting up of tents, the preparation of food and cleaning and washing up the area that they are residing in. The 2 activities that are exclusive to the Gerties Lodge are the Golfing Safari and the Safari Program.

Accommodation at Gerties Lodge consists of:

4 spacious, thatch-roofed lodges are provided for guests. Each lodge has 2 bedrooms, a separate toilet and bathroom and a living room area. Gerties Lodge offers a great way to relax- a sparkling swimming pool for their guests where they can cool off after a busy day of touring.

A restaurant caters all the meals for the guests at the lodge and there are also barbecue/braai facilities provided in the lush garden of Gerties Lodge.

Each lodge can sleep up to 6 people. The spacious master bedroom which is situated on the second floor of the lodge, contains a sleeper couch which can sleep 2 people. The views from each of the lodges are breathtaking. The lodges are equipped with appliances so that guests can make their own tea/coffee. Laundry facilities are also provided. The lodge has a bar where patrons can enjoy an ice cold refreshment while relaxing in the television lounge, that offers their guests DSTV.

Guests who partake in the safari tours sleep in large Hungarian tents that come with a foam rubber mattress and blankets and pillows. However you are required to carry your own sleeping bag.

Gerties Lodge offers many exciting activities in which their guests can participate. These include whitewater rafting, canoeing trips, scenic flights over the falls, elephant riding, bungi jumping and much much more. The safari’s include an evening cruise on the Zambezi River, day trips to Zambia and Botswana and various game drives for the ultimate in game viewing.
