Amadeus Garden Reviews

Enjoying the best of the Victoria Falls
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Amadeus Gardens in Victoria Falls. Miriam was so helpful and she arranged some trips, tours and taxis for us during our stay, as well as lots of useful information. It was brilliant that there was food available (a hearty breakfast was included, but we could also have lunch and/or dinner, and get drinks, at Amadeus at a very reasonable price). We were very pleased that we decided to stay on the Zimbabwe side of the Falls as it is a truly beautiful sight from this side. We chose to go on a sunset cruise (fantastic fun and some great sightings of hippo's and crocdiles) and a walk with the lions - really brilliant. The staff at Amadeus were lovely and very friendly, and it was a great choice of accommodation at a reasonable cost. If you play golf, try Elephant Hills - a great experience!

Best value
Very good and best value for the service.
Rooms are clean and spaceous. We organized through them our safaris, dinners and transfers from/to airports; very kindly and precise service. A dinner at the Boma restaurant is a must! German ownership

Fantastic Self Catering Cottage
We stayed two nights in Amadeus Gardens self catering cottage - this is situated across from the owners b &b and next to his own house. It was wonderful value for money. The cottage sleeps four people, is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The owner Hermund was very helpful and did all he could to help us make the most out of our short stay. We were able to use the breakfast facilities at the b&b and use of the pool at no extra cost. The only problem was our oven was out of order but we were told just to bring our food to Hermund's house and his maid cooked it for us - so no complaints there!
Would really reccomend this self catering option if you are on a budget - you get far more than you pay for!

Wow, what a lovely tranquil stay, I'll definitely be back
Having never heard of Amadeus Gardens (and having stayed in Victoria Falls before) I wasn't sure before my trip but it's the price and the trip adviser reviews that attracted me. As soon as we got there I knew I'd made the right decision as we met with Kathryn who went through everything with us, she was friendly and helpful and answered all our questions.

There are only a few rooms most of which overlook the pool and gives a very quiet peaceful feel to Victoria Falls (which I needed after all the excursions we'd rammed into out two night stay) however Amadeus is close enough for you to be part of the action if you so wish.

Breakfast is included and whilst it's not over the top you do get quite alot to eat, cereal, fruit juice, tea or coffee, fresh fruit salad, toast and usually egg, bacon, tomato etc. Dinner can be requested and is very reasonably priced (there are 3 or 4 options on the menu, not extensive but in line with the size of the establishment).

I felt like a valued customer here and would definitely be back.

Perfect accomadation in Vic Falls
Lovely, peaceful spot, very nicely furnished and serviced. Friendly helpful staff put us on the right road to see the falls, and organise our trips. Restful gardens, nice extras with the pool, and breakfast was delicious. Will stay again.

Wonderful Stay & Great Service
I would like to thank you and all staff members for a wonderful stay and great service. We were greatly welcomed on arrival and treated with great care . There is a lot of competition at Vic Falls for accommodation but it really comes down to standards and service which you guys really have. Hope to come stay again in the near future and I will recommend anyone who is looking to come to the Falls to contact you guys.

Again thank you!

Going the extra mile!
We had a very enjoyable stay at Amadeus Garden. Since the bed & breakfast was full the owner afforded us the use of his self-catering cottage. It was very comfortable, and cool being under thatch and extremely reasonable too.

Mr Geiring is a very hospitable man and I highly recommend his establishment!

Amadeus Guest House
I was in Vic falls from the 14th to the 18th Dec 09 and stayed at Amadeus with my boyfriend. The lodge owner was extremely nice and helpful. We had to change dates a lot before and Hartmut was extremely helpful. They have a very nice breakfast, clean rooms that are cleaned daily and very friendly staff. :-) I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Vic Falls
