Day 1 Livingstone/Victoria Falls
Muli shani! Welcome to Zambia.
After checking in to your superior accommodation you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls (Zambian side).
The traditional name for Victoria Falls is Mosi-oa-Tunya, which translates as "the Smoke that Thunders". Its modern name is in honour of Queen Victoria, and was given to the falls in 1855 by David Livingstone. Although not the highest or the largest falls in the world, Victoria Falls is 1708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90 m and 107 m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water plummet over the edge every minute. This spectacular site is considered one of the new natural wonders of the world and will take your breath away.
