Mwambashi River Lodge offers 16 guests the unique opportunity of staying in spacious Safari Tents, styled in the way of the east Africans. These tents are all raised on stilts, giving guests magnificent views of the mighty Zambezi River, which can be properly experienced from the private wooden balconies.
The tents are all fully ensuite, with a large shower, toilet and washbasin. These rooms are all decorated in charming ethnic tones, and yellow wood furniture pieces, making for a comfortable, stylish, yet homely residence.
Mwambashi River Lodge boasts a beautiful, big thatched central dining area, where visitors can consume traditional African cuisine of a remarkable caliber. After dinner, one might enjoy touching up on one’s African history and learning a bit more about the animals of the area, in the well-stocked reference library provided, and then perhaps enjoying a drink in the comfortable lounge.
Guests staying at Mwambashi River Lodge will get to experience the ultimate in game viewing in both the daylight and nighttime hours. Some of the Big Five that you will be able to see include elephant, buffalo and even the king of the jungle – Africa’s lion. There is also an abundance of leopard, hyena and species of civet and genet to be seen roaming around the area.
Some of the other activities offered to guests of Mwambashi River Lodge are bird watching, canoe trips along the Zambezi and fishing adventures, as well as a range of water sports in the nearby Victoria Falls.
