Just opposite Siloka Island and 4km's upstream from the Victoria Falls is the convenient and affordable Zambezi Waterfront Lodge. It is the ideal location from which to explore the Victoria Falls and participate in the many activities that are on offer. The lodge was specifically designed to attract the younger, more adventurous traveler and those travelers who are just young at heart! This lodge is also perfect for groups, incentives and team building holidays.
7 thatched chalets each consisting of 3 separate bedrooms. Each of these rooms has an en-suite bathroom and is spacious and comfortable. The downstream section of the lodge has a riverside campsite set among trees in shady surroundings. The range of sites at the campsite can accommodate up to 90 people. Situated on the riverbank is Adventure Island which is made up of bow tents built on raised platforms and can accommodate 40 guests. The tents are also equipped with an electric light and a fan. Both the campsite and Adventure Island have spotlessly clean ablution facilities with hot and cold showers, basins and toilets.
There is a central dining complex where all guests are welcome. From here, stunning views of the river and the spray of the Victoria Falls can be enjoyed. A raised wooden deck stretches out over the river with a unique plunge pool. Other facilities that are offered to guests include an open bar restaurant area, a reception, a handy travel centre where bookings can be easily made, a merchandising shop and an internet café.
Activities available at the Waterfront include game drives through the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park where a wealth of game such as White Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Giraffe and other wildlife live, with a variety of bird life in existence. Other activities that guests can book through the lodge are whitewater rafting on the great Zambezi, bungi jumping from the bridge of the falls or a helicopter ride directly over the falls.
