The Sussi Lodge

The exclusive and up market Mosi-oa-tunya National park provides gorgeous accommodation for tourists to enjoy the perfect getaway in the form of the Sussi Lodge. It is the ideal location to view elephants migrating through the National Park, and a superb base from which to explore the majestic Victoria Falls which are 9 km's downstream.

The enchanting luxury tree-houses of Sussi Lodge are perched in a canopy of Ebony trees on the banks of the Zambezi River. It is an unusual and magical experience. Each tree house has a private viewing deck among its branches. The main lodge has a raised bar and deck, an open air dining area and a swimming pool. For safety purposes, guests keep to elevated wooden walkways.

Accommodation at the Sussi Lodge consists of:

10 tree houses with seven twin rooms and 3 single rooms collectively. A total of 20 guests can be accommodated at a time. Each tree house is equipped with an ensuite basin, shower and bath, a mini bar, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fans and a hairdryer. A wide selection of delectable meals and cool refreshments are served to guests at the outside dining facilities or around a beautiful campfire. Other amenities provided by the lodge to ensure that their guests are as comfortable as possible include a curio shop, laundry services and transfers to the airport or to the town of Victoria Falls. Those guests in need of pampering can head for the spa area and listen to the soothing sounds of the river while indulging in a massage, pedicure and manicure in the care of the beauty therapist's healing hands.

The cost of accommodation at the lodge includes entry fees to the Musi-oa-tunya National Park as well as any 2 inclusive activities of the guest's choice. The activities that are offered are a guided tour of the Victoria Falls and the rain forest, a game drive in the park, a cultural or shopping tour of Livingstone or fishing in the Zambezi River. Other activities that are available to guests at Victoria Falls are white water rafting, canoeing, sunset cruises, helicopter and micro light adventures over the Victoria Falls, horseback or elephant safaris or bungi jumping.
