15 km’s upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls and bordering the banks of the great Zambezi River is the large and unique family home, Tangala House. Designed with style and furnished beautifully, the house provides guests with a warm homely feeling. Often, elephants can be spotted drinking from the opposite side of the riverbank and hippo’s and crocodiles can be seen in the river. Surrounded by glass windows, the house was designed to keep out insects. It is the perfect accommodation for families.

Accommodation at the Tangala House consists of:

4 Bedrooms of which 3 are en-suite. 2 of the bedrooms have spectacular views of the Zambezi River. Also provided are a separate toilet and bathroom, a spacious kitchen and dining area, a children’s playroom with children’s toys and books and a large living room opening into a thatch veranda. The kitchen is fitted with a fridge and freezer, oven, gas cooker, ceramic double sinks and a microwave oven. The living room contains 2 comfortable couches and has satellite television, a video machine, hi-fi and a jet master fireplace to keep guests fully entertained. The spacious veranda area surrounds a crystal clear 12m swimming pool and has a gorgeous picturesque picnic area.

The house is fully serviced by the Tongabezi Lodge. Services provided by the lodge include a chef to prepare mouth-watering cuisine and an experienced guide for 4x4 adventures. The house can be booked on either a full board basis or a full service basis. The full board basis includes accommodation, 3 meals per day, and service by the Tongabezi Lodge including a booking service for activities. The full service basis has all the perks of the full board basis but also includes a private guide and host, a chef, waiter, housekeeper and grounds attendant. Guests are even entitled to use the vehicles and boats on the property.

Given its location, guests at Tangala House have convenient access to all the adrenalin boosting attractions that Victoria Falls has to offer. These include bungi jumping off one of the highest locations in the world, the Victoria Falls Bridge, or whitewater rafting through the wild rapids of the Zambezi River. Other activities offered are elephant or horseback safaris, an informative tour of the Livingstone Museum, a relaxing day at the superb golf course or a romantic sunset cruise.
