It is hosted by a very nice couple and is situated ab. 20min away from the falls in a national park. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable with a very nice breakfirst. We had a great time there and can highly recommand it.

We had a wonderful 2 days at Bushbuck and really didn't want to leave! Oriel and the team went out of their way to make our stay feel special. It's a fabulous place for anyone who wants to get away from it all and spend some time in a beautiful and tranquil setting. And the food is fantastic! Thanks for a wonderful start to our African adventure.

Stayed 3 nights at Busbuck, Alan and Oriel were fantastic hosts and made us feel at home from the start. The breakfasts and dinners we had were very very good. The setting was fantastic and we had the added bonus of seeing a herd of buffalo one night at the end of the garden.

Good home style accomodation in peaceful riverside location. Kind and hospitable hosts who are very willing to help you enjoy your visit to the Falls by providing transport and by sharing their deep knowledge of the country and wildlife with you. Alan and Oriel are extremely hospitable folk and their house is a wonderful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Livingstone but close to the Elephant Safari. The garden is tranquil and I particularly enjoyed relaxing in the Look Out with a book and doing a bit of bird watching. The rock pool is very cooling and there is a lovely relaxation area in the shade of the porch with very comfy seats and sofas. Oriel's cooking is superb and it is a pleasure to eat together and chat, in the beautiful outdoor dining room. Both are extremely helpful and Alan acts as taxi driver to get you to tourist spots, for a standard fee. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Bush Buck River House and will definitely return for more peace and quiet in this stunning location.

We spent 4 nights in Bushbuck River House and had a wonderful time there. It is peaceful and warm welcome place, very good food. We love to spend time in the tree house, listen to the birds and look at the river flow. I wish we could stay there longer!

A long weekend that felt like we were truly away from it all - restful, wonderful setting, lovely hosts & great cooking. What more could one ask? A repeat visit!!

We scheduled a stay at Bushbuck River House just outside of Livingstone, Zambia while visiting our daughter who is a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia.

We LOVED our stay with Alan and Oriel and encourage anyone who is looking for a quiet, off the road, elegant place to stay to visit Bushbuck River House. The house is lovely and the setting is idyllic.

Our rooms were so comfortable and we really appreciated the en suite accommodations after living in our daughter's village for 5 days. The pool and the quiet surroundings were a perfect beginning or end to all of our days there.

And the food was delicious--lovely breakfasts served in the dining room and delicious dinners served in the outdoors dining room.

Alan and Oriel's knowledge of the area--both the natural world and the cultural world--is astounding and they willingly shared their experiences with us. We booked several tours through them and each was a great experience.

We highly recommend Bushbuck River House. It was perfect in every way.

Four of us stayed for 2 nights at Bushbuck Lodge. We really felt part of the family as Oriel, the owner ate dinner with us each evening. The three dogs and two cats made us feel very much at home as we had all left animals behind. The sound of the Hippo's feeding on the front lawn at night let us know that we were in deepest Africa!

The hosts are very friendly and well informed. The food was very good. The accommodation and facilities all above par. Compared to what's on offer elsewhere in Livingstone, you would be hard pressed to find similar value for money.

We had a marvelous time at Bushbuck and felt that the welcome and care that went into our stay was fantastic. We had good rooms, great food and Oriel’s care was second to none. The setting of the house and garden was delightful and we would certainly visit again if we were ever in the area. Where else do you see buffalo on the front lawn at suppertime?!!!

I booked this accommodation for an important visitor to ZImbabwe and our company with our Managing Director and Sales Rep. It was an absolute pleasure working with the people from Bushbuck, nothing was too much to ask and every small detail was seen to.
