Sanyati Lodge is situated on the south eastern shoreline of Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe. This gracious lodge is perched on the banks near the mouth of the Sanyati Gorge and alongside the Matusadona National Park, sheltered by the Matusadona mountain range.

Sanyati Lodge has been beautifully constructed out of natural stone, indigenous wood and thatch. The individual chalets set on the banks of Lake Kariba, offer unparalleled views through huge glass panes and private wooden decks. Each chalet has a ceiling fan, air-conditioning and mini-bar. Indulge in an outdoor shower or luxuriate in a huge bath overlooking the lake.
Honeymooners can retreat to the Matusadona Suite, set high up above the main lodge with its own private swimming pool. The double volume bathroom has twin basins, a “honeymoon-sized” bath with views over Lake Kariba and a private outdoor shower.
The Royal Tonga is a double-storey presidential suite of Sanyati Lodge, offering absolute privacy in opulent surroundings. The first floor contains a grand entrance hall, guest cloakroom and spacious lounge and dining area opening out onto a stunning entertainment deck. The Royal Tonga has its own exclusive use swimming pool in this wooden decked area. On the upper lever you’ll find the master suite with an enormous bedroom, en-suite dressing room and bathroom. All have breathtaking views over Lake Kariba and the nearby Matusadona mountain range.
As to be expected with a lodge of this stature, Sanyati offers a central lounge and dining area, expansive swimming pool, bar, library, curio shop and health spa and exercise suite.
With its pristine setting on Lake Kariba, guests can expect to view big game when participating in walking safaris with the lodge’s experienced guides, 4x4 drives or boat cruises. This is also a prime area for fishing enthusiasts and bird-watchers.
