The African Queen

Nestled in the tranquil heart of Africa, Zambia hides her most precious jewel in the town of Livingstone, named after the great explorer, Dr. David Livingstone. This jewel is the African Queen. Livingstone is a mere 5km from the Victoria Falls and 10 minutes from most international hotels .

The African Queen is a triple deck 70ft catamaran, furnished with Rhodesian Teak, Beech Wood and brass finishes.

Accommodating a total of 120 guests, offering luxurious cruises on the Zambezi River, you can experience all the wonders that nature and this mighty river have to offer. The African Queen Cruise Company is proud to be associated with the Maramba Old People's Home, Lubasi Home for Orphans, the Livingstone Street Children and the Maternity Ward of Livingstone Hospital.

On arrival at the Royal Landing, you are greeted with a cold cocktail and the sounds of the Marimba Band, a local instrument that laments the sounds of Africa. A full bar on both upper and lower deck serve a selection of cocktails, iced drinks and a variety of snacks. The African Queen provides the ideal platform to view the many species of game and bird life that the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National park has to offer. For a personalised service fit for royalty, enjoy the view from our top deck with the company of the Captain of the African Queen and your own service staff. The Captain's Cabin has the capacity to hold a maximum of 10 guests. In your exclusive transfer, you will be accompanied by your own guide who will also serve you bottled wines, premium brand drinks and your snacks within the comfort of the Captain's Cabin.

• Transfers are from The Falls Resort Activity Centre. Transfers from Livingstone, Victoria Falls and their immediate surrounds can be arranged with reservations.
